Westminster’s 125th Anniversary on November 5, 2023 Album

PARTNERSHIPS WITH PCUSA SIBLING CHURCHES AND INTERFAITH CLERGY, LOCAL AND REGIONAL OFFICIALS, EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, NONPROFITS AND PRIVATE BUSINESSES HAVE HELPED WESTMINSTER SEEK THE SHALOM OF THE CITY OF TRENTON AND BEYOND

The Rev. Patti Daley serves as Westminster’s Nassau Presbyterian Church Liaison. In 1994, when Pastor Karen and Rev. Patti met at a SCUPE urban church conference in Chicago, while Karen was studying for her ordination exams, God put it in Patti’s heart to call Westminster’s Pastor Nominating Committee to tell them “I just met your future pastor.” In 2019, on one of the many occasions when she preached, her family worshipped with us.

Westminster is blessed with the gifts of many retired clergy and clergy serving in validated ministries, While the Rev. Liz Alexander lived in the area Liz preached and helped us support our returning citizens, The Rev. Joanne Rodriguez has been serving in the capacity of Parish Associate for over 20 years, and has been providing Pastor Karen, her family, and the Westminster Family with pastoral care.

 Celebrating Westminster’s 120th Church Anniversary:

Committed to Seeking God’s Justice for All!

September 1898 – September 2018

For over 40 years, instead of fleeing the city and its many challenges as many mainline churches did starting in the 60’s, God chose to bless our congregation with the love, faith, courage, hope and over 120 partners, programs and/or collaborations to Seek the Shalom of the City through a ministry of social justice and racial reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18). Our 120-plus partners were honored and thanked at our 120th WPC Church Anniversary on Sunday, September 30, 2018.

Muchisimas Gracias, to the Rev. Dr. David, Davis Pastor of Nassau Presbyterian Church, for preaching a powerful sermon based on Revelation entitled “Holy City,” to Victoria Gist, Renee Riddle-Davison, and their friend Chanelle for their moving liturgical dance, and Beverly Owens, Director of Music of Witherspoon Street Presbyterian Church for her amazing rendition of “Let There Be Peace on Earth”. We expressed our deep gratitude to Robert Kokesh’s wife Mary and son Paul for inviting their family and friends to make donations in his memory to our Get SET After School Program, and to all of our Community Partners. Muchisimas Gracias to Samuel Frisby, for leading our Worship Team and recruiting two more singers, Alex Perez for singing, and Raphaelle Register for leading our WPC Dancing Step Divas.
